Self Portraits in the Land: Mapping Ourselves into the Picture

In 4th grade art classes, we have been studying landscape paintings and drawings from around the world as well as right here in Vermont. We've developed our ability to discuss and decode artwork to glean meaning and information from it. We have experimented with perspective drawing in cityscapes and are now working on a long term project that envolves documenting our own stories through mapping ourselves into our landscape paintings by including places of importance to us.
