Food for Thought


Our favorite foods, that we make at home, often have a story. Salmon spread is one of my family’s favorites. We serve it when we have guests over. In Alaska, where I'm from, most families fish for and store their salmon in the freezer, smoke it and/or can it to use during the long winters. I can’t remember ever being at a gathering in AK, where salmon spread was not on the table. 

Recipe - 1 can of smoked salmon mixed with 1 container of cream cheese, garnish with chopped red onion & serve with warm bread out of the oven, breadsticks or crackers.
