Algebra Club

Algebra Club at RES is now underway for the 2025/26 school year!

What is Algebra Club? Interested 4th graders gather in the Enrichment room weekly to play the Hands-on Equations math game. It is a fun and visual game that turns what seems to be a complex math concept into fun and accessible skill through the use of play and visual manipulatives. It evolves and becomes more complex as they go and does a great job of illustrating what is happening behind the scenes of an algebraic equation. 

All 4th graders were introduced to the game during their Enrichment class or Project Citizen block and chose to participate or not. This opportunity is based on voluntary interest. Every 4th grader that wants to participate is included. There was enough interest to run two sessions for 8 weeks each.
