Heritage Oak Case Study: Where Project Citizen meets Project Learning Tree

For the past two weeks the fourth graders have been engaging in a case study project to prepare for their own Project Citizen research and problem solving work. The classes were given The Heritage Oak Dilemma, from the Project Learning Tree curriculum, to analyze and create solutions to. One group acted as the city council, they created their decision making criteria and evaluated all the solutions pitched to them from the other groups. They deliberated and either choose one or combined parts of each solution to create their own.
