Mush!

When we return from February vacation we will follow the Iditarod Sled Dog Race across Alaska. We'll talk about the challenges, rewards, training, animal nutrition and culture surrounding the sport of mushing as well as the logistics of running a race like this across such challenging terrain and how climate plays a big part in that. I will share my experiences knowing some of the mushers who have competed in the race over the years, my time behind a sled (not racing) and observations as a bystander watching the race year after year.
